About us
ULT is a world-wide supplier of fume extraction and filtration systems that remove airborne pollutants. These contaminants can happen during many different material handling processes in various industries, including craft work, research labs, and any kind of industrial setting. ULT's ventilation systems effectively remove hazardous particles created by laser processes, soldering, welding, and more. The company's high-efficiency filtration technology helps eliminate dust, fumes, odors, gases, and vapors, protecting employees, production facilities, and products. Specially designed filters clean the contaminated air, allowing clean air to be returned to the workspace, which saves heat.
There are strict rules and laws in North America regarding the removal of hazardous materials in workplaces. ULT's dust collection and filtration units help companies comply with these legal requirements.
ULT offers a wide range of solutions, from portable extraction units for individual workstations or small spaces, to stationary systems that can be built into production lines, to complete room ventilation systems for large facilities. They can also design and build custom equipment for specific applications, in addition to providing complete, turnkey solutions. If necessary, ULT's fume extraction and filtration systems can be certified according to ATEX and W3 standards, and tested to meet H requirements.
To maximize capture efficiency, ULT offers capture elements and extraction arms designed for specific work situations and applications.

Laser fume extractor LAS 800
The fume extractor LAS 800 was developed for the removal of large amounts of the finest dusts and gases, occurring during laser processing of metals, plastics, and other non-metallic materials. The device is currently one of quietest systems in its class, which also scores with its compact, robust, and flexible design.
The standard equipment is a cartridge filter system with a 30-l dust container. The utilized four filter cartridges of filter class M are compliant with DIN EN ISO 16890 and guarantee a long filter life, as well as simple assembly and maintenance options.
The LAS 800 provides a multitude of options. They provide previously unimagined opportunities to flexibly configure the extraction system for changing processes and materials. On the one hand, there are several post-filter options, including the addition of fine dust filters (H-14) or safety filters which can be installed if necessary. There is also the option of utilizing sorption filters (activated carbon and/or chemisorption) to bind any odors or gases.
On the other hand, extensive safety options are provided in the LAS 800, which guarantee safe use with combustible dusts. These include, among many others, a spark pre-separator, spark stop with automatic suction stop and shut-off damper, safety shutdown when the H-14 filter is occupied, or a temperature sensor built into the raw gas space.
Finally, there is the option of connecting a metering unit with a filter aid to optimize the filtration of fine and sticky dusts.
Sensors for the fill level in the dust collector or for monitoring the compressed air, as well as options for connection to modern and promising bus communication platforms or the use of a recirculating air silencer round off the various user advantages of the fume extraction system.
LAS 260.1
The laser fume extractor LAS 260.1 is an advantageous solution for operators of laser systems as well as for system integrators and system manufacturers.
The extraction device offers a very good price/performance ratio, can be flexibly adapted to changing processes and materials such as metal, plastics or wood, and operates extremely quietly. The specially developed filter modules guarantee long service lives - resulting in significantly reduced maintenance requirements, stable production and, consequently, lower costs. Further benefits are the contamination-free filter change via "Save Change Technology" and energy savings of approx. 20% compared to similar solutions on the market.
The new laser fume extractor is easy to install ('plug-and-play') and operate. Modern interfaces are provided for external communication with laser systems from a wide range of manufacturers, which can also be customized on request. The LAS 260.1 can be utilized stand-alone or as an integration solution.
Additionally, ULT offers a wide range of accessories for the new extraction system, e.g. spark arrestors for fire protection, various hose and adapter sets, extraction arms, or additional post-filters for clean room installation and noise reduction.
The LAS 260.1 was designed for worldwide use, can be used both mobile or stationary, and requires little floor space.
ULT Airtower for welding fume extraction
The ULT Airtower for welding fume extraction stands out as the most efficient and powerful industrial air cleaning product currently available.
The welding fume extractor is based on the layer ventilation principle, currently the ideal method for air circulation. Contaminated air is aspirated, filtered and then discharged as clean breathable air at ground level with no air drafts. The ULT Airtower provides an extremely high filtration degree of >99.9%. .
Purified air is fed back into the working environment, i.e. it can be used for production hall heating, which may lead to a significant heating cost reduction of several thousands of dollars per year.
Additionally, specifically developed incident flow technologies of the filter cartridges and the utilization of special ventilators with integrated controllers enable considerable power consumption reductions. Further energy savings are made possible by a fully automated cartridge filter cleaning technology.
Compared to other solutions, the ULT Airtower is extremely quiet. Hence, the system is one of the lowest noise and energy efficient fume extraction solutions worldwide.
The welding fume extractor is available in four different variants from 2,950 to 11,700 cfm (5,000 to 20,000 m³/h) air volume for efficient cleaning of about 247,000 cft (7.000 m³) volume.
The system works according to the “plug and play” principle – unlike classic hall extraction systems, expensive pipeline systems are omitted.
