Working Group Additive Manufacturing within VDMA
 
The Additive Manufacturing Working Group is part of the Federation for Mechanical Engineering (VDMA) with its approximately 3300 members. The more than 170 companies in the working group represent the entire additive manufacturing process chain:
- Technology suppliers (machines, materials, software, ...)
- Users of the new production process (service providers, mechanical engineering companies) and
- Research & Consulting

The working group enables international member companies to exchange experiences and opportunities in the use of Additive Manufacturing. Expert meetings are organized at companies and research institutes and in digital formats. Competence teams are working on the industrialization and automation of additive design and manufacturing processes and on quality standards. The working group is the link to trade fairs, research, the public and politics.
