Easy-to-integrate Custom Solutions

Fraunhofer IWS is working on parts and components that can be easily integrated into existing production environments. Our research and development activities focus on designing solutions for or with our customers that quickly make the leap from lab to industrial application. Thus, in addition to industry-compatible one-stop solutions, our portfolio includes custom solutions that are particularly easy-to-integrate.

We combine research experience, the latest scientific findings, modern plant technology and processes with systems engineering and materials and process know-how, and are also building on existing basic technologies, products, processes, etc. We equally address special requirements not yet available on the market. We develop these solutions open-system so that they can be customized for the respective application and can be integrated into existing production chains. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about how we can work together with you to develop custom solutions for your production facilities.

Material and process innovations

Complex components require the right material in the right place. Consequently, the combination of human and digital expertise with the right process is the best way to realize this. Fraunhofer IWS scientists come into play wherever there is an interaction between the material's process and properties and a close linking of the two worlds becomes necessary. We unite our scientific expertise and practical experience with digital tools and systems to combine material potentials and align the development of necessary processes.

We apply the latest scientific methods and benefit from our long-term experience to answer even complex questions. In researching and developing solutions for the customer's or partner's requirement, we rely on our broad expertise, bundled at Fraunhofer IWS in the interaction of laser and materials technology, systems engineering and materials expertise. Feel free to contact us to find out how we together or on your behalf can find solutions to your challenges.
