SAFECHEM provides a range of high-performing halogenated solvents as well as modified alcohols. To enable safe and emission-free transport, storage and handling of solvents, SAFECHEM has been the first in the market to develop its proprietary SAFE-TAINER™ System, which is considered as the Best Available Technology (BAT) when used in combination with closed cleaning machines.
In addition, in order to help customers optimize their cleaning process, SAFECHEM offers a comprehensive service portfolio covering test kits and stabilizers, tailored chemical leasing package, waste take-back, lab analysis as well as employee risk awareness training.
Through robust testing, objective evaluation and informed consultation, we advise companies on the choice of the right cleaning agent, particularly those with high precision cleaning requirements, including aviation, defense, automotive, medical technology and electronics. SAFE-TAINER™ Systems
The SAFE-TAINER™ System is a closed-loop state-of-the-art delivery system for handling chlorinated solvents. In combination with closed cleaning equipment or similar, it represents the Best Available Technology for the use of these products.
The SAFE-TAINER™ System includes two different, specially designed double-walled containers. One is exclusively designated for the supply of fresh solvent and the other for the collection of used solvent.
COMPLEASE™ Chemical Leasing
COMPLEASE™ Chemical Leasing is an innovative offering for high quality cleaning requirements of our customers. At the same time it supports customer efforts regarding environmental responsibility.
COMPLEASE™ combines the full SAFECHEM surface cleaning solution for a fixed monthly leasing fee. The flexibility of the available technical parameters allows continuous cleaning process optimisation.
Customers benefit from improved cleaning processes and results, cost transparency and greater economic value.
DOWCLENE™* 1601 Modified Alcohol Solvent
Since 1992 SAFECHEM provides modified alcohol solvents for industrial parts cleaning thus being the pioneer in this market segment. SAFECHEM further developed modified alcohol formulations together with some of the leading cleaning equipment manufacturers. A complete solution with different grades, additives and comprehensive services is available today to help meet individual customer needs.
DOWCLENE™* 1601, DOWCLENE™* 1611 and DOWCLENE™* 1621 are virgin, high performance modified alcohol solvents from SAFECHEM with excellent cleaning properties. They are suitable for difficult applications such as the cleaning of heat exchangers. DOWCLENE™* 1601 Modified Alcohol Solvent is approved and used by well-known aerospace companies.

Chlorinated Solvents
Due to their relatively high density, DOWPER™* MC, NEU-TRI™° E and MECTHENE™° MC are highly efficient in removing particles or heavy contamination.
The solvents have an excellent combination of low boiling points, low surface tension, and very strong grease solubility. They demonstrate superior chemical stability against contamination and humidity, and their evaporation characteristics help metal surfaces to dry quickly and completely. This makes them suitable for cleaning porous metals from which trapped moisture is often difficult to remove. The absence of a flash point allows them to be used in hermetically sealed cleaning equipment running either under vacuum or atmospheric pressure, the latter reducing the investment costs significantly.
Due to their good distillation behaviour, Chlorinated Solvents can continuously be distilled on-site in the cleaning equipment, which supports applications with a high throughput of contamination.

MAXISTAB™ S-SERIES
MAXISTAB™ SD-5: Effective contact-free stabilisation of organic acids and sulphurised oils
MAXISTAB™ SD-5 is a sump stabilizer specially developed to counteract the effects of organic acids and sulphur compounds. This technical innovation enables contact-free stabilisation: It is introduced into the distillation unit and is thus effective at the origin of potentially harming products.
MAXISTAB SD-7 AND MAXISTAB SV-9: Stable moderate alkalinity for removing chlorinated oils
With MAXISTAB™ SD-7 and MAXISTAB™ SV-9, SAFECHEM offers an innovative two-component stabilisation process combining sump and volatile stabilisation. MAXISTAB™ SD-7 is a sump stabilizer that is added to the cleaning system through the distillation unit where it acts and
remains. MAXISTAB™ SV-9 is volatile and therefore effective throughout the entire cleaning system. The dosed use of the stabilizer system allows a stable, process-safe alkalinity and thus
a long service life of plant and solvent. With this innovation, it is now possible to clean off even highly chlorinated oils with the DOWCLENE™* 16 Series in a process-safe manner.
DUALENE™ 1601 S
DUALENE™ 1601 S is the first pre-stabilized, pure and virgin-grade modified alcohol ever developed for a wide range of metal cleaning applications.
With a built-in alkalinity buffer, DUALENE™ 1601 S has the distinct ability to bolster process stability at the start of the cleaning process compared to other modified alcohols.
