6 interpolating axis guarantee a perfect positioning of the contact wheel to the airfoil surface. An additional auto-adaptive pneumatic axis ensures constant grinding pressure. This allows the processing of complex blade and aerofoil geometries and thus a reduction of milling processes and elimination of manual grinding operations.

SPE Turbine blade grinding, polishing and finishing machine tool

Turbine blade grinding and polishing machine. SPE machine tools are used throughout the world for belt  grinding, linishing, finishing, deburring and polishing of fan blades, leading edge sheaths, gas turbine blades, compressor blades, buckets and vanes (OGV and NGV). Also polishing of thermal barrier coating on steam turbine blades. The SPE is the right choice for turbine blades manufacturing. 6 interpolating axis guarantee a perfect positioning of the contact wheel to the airfoil surface of steam and gas turbine blades. An additional auto-adaptive pneumatic axis ensures constant grinding pressure. This allows the processing of complex blade and airfoil geometries and thus a reduction of milling processes and elimination of manual grinding operations.
A powerful CAD/CAM software allows for fast and efficient  generation of NC programs for any work piece geometry. The SPE is also used for finishing and polishing implants and other complex medical work pieces such as macintosh blades.

Double ended grinding and polishing jack type 72780

The 72780 series is a heavy-duty design abrasive backstand belt grinding and polishing machine for multi-purpose applications. It can be configured with motor rating per spindle from 2.2 to 7.5 kW and is therefore ideal for industrial applications with high stock removal whilst minimizing vibration exposure.
Due to its double-sided design with optional combination of belt grinding and polishing, only belt grinding or only polishing, the 72780 series is a versatile belt grinder machine. Thanks to its robust, low-vibration design, it guarantees a long service life and precise work without shatter marks. The use of heavy cast iron components and welded machine base make it the most durable and strongest belt sander and buffing/polishing jack in the market. The 72780 series has the lowest vibration values ever recorded in any backstand grinder.  Standard sanding belts with a length of 3,500 or 4,000 mm and a maximum width of 100 mm can be used on the machine. The maximum contact wheel dimensions are 450 x 100 mm with a bore of 35 mm. Max. polishing wheel diameter is 500 mm, with special covers up to 1.000 mm.

Manual belt grinding machine for turbine blades 72713

Basic machine design same as the 72711 series but with special belt head wheel configuration and belt head guarding. The allocation of the guide wheels and pulleys allows for special belt grinding applications such as grinding on the slack belt. The contact wheels are quickly changeable by means of a quick fit system to allow for the use of a wide range of different diameter contact wheels. The 72713 series is especially useful for belt grinding, linishing and finishing of turbine blades, knifes, implants and other complex shaped work pieces.

CNC machine tool KWS for symetrical rotative components

CNC grinding- and polishing machine for rotationally symmetrical work pieces. CNC polishing machine for crank shaft and rotor polishing with SIEMENS 840D controller. Machine for belt grinding, polishing and finishing of extrusion screws, large crank shafts, moineau rotors (mud motors), stator cores. 11 interpolating CNC axes guarantee a perfect positioning of the endless abrasive belt to the work piece surface and allows the processing of complex work piece geometries.   

Quickly exchangeable contact wheel and slack belt attachments add to the flexibility of the KWS capability.

The benefits of polishing crankshafts using the KWS are minimized friction and therefore a higher engine efficiency. At the same time wear, tear and crankshaft torsion and load failure is minimized. Fast cycle times – a crank shaft with a length of 3,785 mm length can be polished within 1:10 h. This includes polishing of the main, crank pin and radius areas.   

The KWS is a completely enclosed cnc polishing machine with automatic sliding doors. The SIEMENS control panel is movable along the entire length of the machine.
